KY-6th Congressman Gains Backing of Influential Veterans Paper
Falls Church, Virginia — The Electoral Board of the VETERANS’ VISION publication announced their endorsement of Congressman Ben Chandler, of Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District, earlier today. Chandler was cited for his support of returning troops from Iraq and Afghanistan and initiatives to end the national tragedy of veterans’ homelessness.
Today, Ben Chandler received an "A" rating from the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA).

Coming from a state where the coal industry remains a political kingmaker even as the number of jobs it provides continues to dwindle away, U.S. Rep. Ben Chandler had to "man up" to support an energy bill that included a cap-and-trade approach to reducing carbon emissions' contribution to global warming and the extreme weather conditions it has produced.

cn|2 Poll: Chandler leads Barr by 14 points

Democratic U.S. Rep. Ben Chandler cracked the 50% mark and leads Republican challenger Andy Barr by 14 points, according to results of the latest cn|2 Poll on the 6th Congressional District race.
Another 12.5% of respondents said they are still undecided.
Chandler has roughly the same advantage that he had in the first cn|2 Poll of the 6th Congressional District from July.

Rep. Ben Chandler (D) is releasing a new poll Tuesday that shows him with a 20-point lead over attorney Andy Barr (R) in the Lexington-based 6th district.
The survey, which was conducted by the Mellman Group for Chandler's campaign on Sept. 13 and 14, showed Chandler ahead 53 percent to 33 percent, with 14 percent undecided. The poll of 400 likely voters had a 4.9-point margin of error.
